MASSACHUSETTS AND SAME-SEX MARRIAGE

- 1 -

What same-sex "marriage" has done to
Massachusetts
It's far worse than most people realize

by Brian Camenker

October 20, 2008
Anyone who thinks that same-sex “marriage” is a benign eccentricity which won’t affect the
average person should consider what it has done in Massachusetts. It’s become a hammer toforce the acceptance and normalization of homosexuality on everyone. And this train is movingfast. What has happened so far is only the beginning.

On November 18, 2003, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court announced its Goodridge opinion, ruling that it was unconstitutional not to allow same-sex “marriage.” Six months later, homosexual marriages began to be performed.

The public schools

The homosexual “marriage” onslaught in public schools across the state started soon after theNovember 2003, court decision.

At my own children's high school there was a school-wide assembly to celebrate
same-sex “marriage” in early December, 2003. It featured an array of speakers,
including teachers at the school who announced that they would be “marrying” their
same-sex partners and starting families either through adoption or artificial insemination.
Literature on same-sex marriage – how it is now a normal part of society – was handed
out to the students.

Within months it was brought into the middle schools. In September, 2004, an 8thgradeteacher in Brookline, MA, told National Public Radio that the marriage ruling had
opened up the floodgates for teaching homosexuality. “In my mind, I know that, `OK, this
is legal now.' If somebody wants to challenge me, I'll say, `Give me a break. It's legal
now,'” she told NPR. She added that she now discusses gay sex with her students as
explicitly as she desires. For example, she said she tells the kids that lesbians can have
vaginal intercourse using sex toys.

By the following year it was in elementary school curricula. Kindergartners were
given picture books telling them that same-sex couples are just another kind of family,
like their own parents. In 2005, when David Parker of Lexington, MA – a parent of a
kindergartner – strongly insisted on being notified when teachers were discussing
homosexuality or transgenderism with his son, the school had him arrested and put in
jail overnight.

Second graders at the same school were read a book, “King and King”, about two
men who have a romance and marry each other, with a picture of them kissing. When
parents Rob and Robin Wirthlin complained, they were told that the school had no
obligation to notify them or allow them to opt-out their child.

In 2006 the Parkers and Wirthlins filed a federal Civil Rights lawsuit to force the
schools to notify parents and allow them to opt-out their elementary-school children
when homosexual-related subjects were taught. The federal judges dismissed the case.
The judges ruled that because same-sex marriage is legal in Massachusetts, the school
actually had a duty to normalize homosexual relationships to children, and that schools

no obligation to notify parents or let them opt-out their children! Acceptance of
homosexuality had become a matter of good citizenship!

Think about that: Because same-sex marriage is “legal”, a federal judge has
ruled that the schools now have a duty to portray homosexual relationships as
normal to children, despite what parents think or believe!
In 2006, in the elementary school where my daughter went to Kindergarten, the parents
of a third-grader were forced to take their child out of school because a man
undergoing a sex-change operation and cross-dressing was being brought into
class to teach the children that there are now “different kinds of families.” School
officials told the mother that her complaints to the principal were considered
“inappropriate behavior.”
Libraries have also radically changed. School libraries across the state, from
elementary school to high school, now have shelves of books to normalize homosexual
behavior and the lifestyle in the minds of kids, some of them quite explicit and even
pornographic. Parents complaints are ignored or met with hostility.
Over the past year, homosexual groups have been using taxpayer money to
distribute a large, slick hardcover book celebrating homosexual marriage titled
“Courting Equality” into every school library in the state.
It’s become commonplace in Massachusetts schools for teachers to prominently
display photos of their same-sex “spouses” and occasionally bring them to
school functions. Both high schools in my own town now have principals who are
“married” to their same-sex partners, whom they bring to school and introduce to the
students.
“Gay days” in schools are considered necessary to fight “intolerance” which may
exist against same-sex relationships. Hundreds of high schools and even middle
schools across the state now hold “gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender appreciation
days”. They “celebrate” homosexual marriage and move forward to other behaviors such
as cross-dressing and transsexuality. In my own town, a school committee member
recently announced that combating “homophobia” is now a top priority.
Once homosexuality is normalized, all boundaries begin to down. The schools are
already moving on to normalizing transgenderism (including cross-dressing and sex
changes). The state-funded Commission on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender
Youth includes leaders who are transsexuals.

Public health
The Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health is “married”
to another man. In 2007 he told a crowd of kids at a state-sponsored youth event that it’s
“wonderful being gay” and he wants to make sure there’s enough HIV testing available
for all of them.
Since homosexual marriage became “legal” the rates of HIV / AIDS have gone up
considerably in Massachusetts. This year public funding to deal with HIV/AIDS has
risen by $500,000. As the homosexual lobby group MassEquality wrote to their
supporters after successfully persuading the Legislature to spend that money: "With the
rate of HIV infections rising dramatically in Massachusetts, it's clear the fight against
AIDS is far from over."
Citing “the right to marry” as one of the “important challenges” in a place where “it’s a
great time to be gay”, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health helped
produce The Little Black Book, Queer in the 21st Century, a hideous work of
obscene pornography which was given to kids at Brookline High School on April 30,

SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS?

"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars..."
My husband Rob is a bird watcher by day and a star watcher by night. The other evening he came in and told me that the planets seem to be forming interesting paterns in the sky. It reminded me of an email I received from an online friend from New Zealand which says:-

In September 2012 during the feast of tabernacles we will see the heavens appear as described in Revelations chapter 12:-
The start of this wonderful display of knowledge as heaven’s announcement to the world will be in September as the sun moves across Virgo. These days through telescopes we can see twelve galaxies surrounding her head. The movement of this great light will eclipses the Virgin. She will be fully covered and arrayed by the sun from head to foot, making her almost invisible for the whole month and symbolizing the obscurity of this heavenly sign taking place relatively undetected by the world at large. Only the wise and instructed people who study the books of the prophets will know it is happening and what it means.
At sunset on 16th September, Rosh Hashana, (Hebrew New Year) the sun will appear at the head of the virgin, radiating her face and symbolizing the start of Israel’s spiritual awakening.
On 19th September the sun will rise with the almost invisible crescent moon at her feet (visible to those who know where and how to observe this), symbolizing the approaching defeat of darkness by the birth of light.
On 20th September as we approach the vernal equinox, when daylight and the darkness of night will be in perfect balance all over the world, the moon will move to the centre of the two balancing scales of Libra, symbolizing the start of a new age of perfect justice, peace, equality and balance.
On 26th September (Yom Kippur or Day of atonement) the sun will move nearer to the heart of the virgin and as the sun sets the moon will move into Aquarius, symbolizing the cleansing of the soul with water at this time of atonement and new birth (change of heart) in preparation for the new age.
On 30th September the full moon will move into the belly of Pisces, the fish, symbolizing the rescue of the prophet Jonah from drowning and the burial of the Messiah for 3 days. That evening will be the start of a 7 day feast of tabernacles (living inside booths) commencing with the great trumpet blast as Israelites celebrate their rescue from slavery through their exodus from Egypt.
After midnight on 3rd October (the middle of the 7 day feast of tabernacles) the morning star (Venus) will rise together with Regulus (the royal star) and they approach to just one fifth of an arc degree apart; so the brightness of Regulus will appear to be enhanced by the morning star and vice versa. It is particularly significant that this takes place in the year 2012, when Regulus moves from the sphere of Leo into the sphere of Virgo, symbolizing the union of the king of the Judeans with all the Sons of Israel. The simultaneous union of Regulus and Venus, symbolizes the marriage of the Lamb and his Bride. The bright morning star rising with Regulus in the heart of the lion (symbol of Judah) in the middle of the feast of tabernacles is a sure sign of the coming king of the Judeans.
On the same night the moon will rise in Aries, the aggressive, self-centred, two-horned ram. The moon (ruler of the night) in Aries opposite the sun (ruler of the day) in Virgo symbolizes the coming conflict between light (spiritual Israelites) and darkness (the enemy with two horns like a lamb but talking like a dragon) [Revelation 13:11]
Finally in the last days of the feast of tabernacles the moon will approach Jupiter (ruler of heaven), occupying the position between the horns of Taurus, the bull. So the largest and brightest object of the night sky will meet of one of the brightest lights of the night sky (Jupiter) between the horns of the bull. The sacrifice of a bull is required to dedicate a new temple to the God of the Israelites.
[the interpretations are not mine]

I'm not into astrology as such [living my life according to the stars] but the Bible says that at the time approaching the 2nd Coming, we will see signs in the heavens [Luke 21:11,25]
THE STAR OF BETHLEHEM At Jesus first Coming the three wise men knew that the Star of Bethlehem indicated that a king would be born in Israel.  The Star was actually the conjunction of the planets Saturn and Jupiter,in the constellation Pisces.
To the Israelites Saturn, being the highest, was the planet of Jehovah and Jupiter was the planet of the Messiah. Pisces was the constellation connected with Israel. The two planets were in conjunction three times over two years  which explains why Herod, when he found out when the wise men first saw the 'Star,' had all the boys under two killed. When the wise men came out of the palace in Jerusalem they saw the third conjunction of these planets [Matthew 2:10] This time Saturn and Jupiter were also in conjunction with Mars. The text indicates that the wise men weren't actually following the star all the way but when they saw the first conjunction they knew knew what was being portrayed and set out for Jerusalem.
Though the signs were there, they were not obvious to those who weren't looking for them. So the signs before His 2nd Coming will be undetected by the world at large.
The birth of the Manchild in Revelations 12 is the fulfillment of the promise made in Genesis 3:15 where God promises that the Seed of the Woman will crush the serpent's head. The common interpretation has been that the woman is Israel and the Manchild is Jesus, but as you know prophecy has more than one level. Galatians 3:16 confirms that the promised Seed is indeed Jesus, but the text goes on to say [v29] that the Seed is also all in Christ.
I believe that the woman in Revelation is the people of faith of all ages labouring to bring forth the promised Seed - the Overcomers - the generation which will finally cast down the serpent from the place of authority he has been occupying illegally since the Cross.
Jesus overcame him, took the authority from him which he had upsurped from Man, and delegated it  to the Church.  He said "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Me go ye therefore...." [ Matthew 28:18,19]

Could the signs soon to be seen in the heavens indicate the imminent rise of the Overcomers? [Rob says that The signs would be as seen from Israel and won't be quite the same from other parts of the world.]

WHY DO THE NATIONS RAGE

PSALM 2
"Why do the nations rage,
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His Anointed saying,
'Let us break their bonds in pieces
And cast away their cords from us'"

In the closing days of this Age, we are seeing an unprecedented break down of morality and Biblical values as the Antichrist spirit rises in the Earth. Nations which once honoured God are casting off restraint.
Humanism, which denies God and places Man at the centre, was born in Eden when our first parents choose to turn away from God and to be their own god, deciding good and evil for themselves. We see the consequences of that all around us as nations carve out their future without reference to God.
The boundaries which God set for the good of Mankind are  increasingly being cast away. The Clinton administration celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the legalisation of abortion. Today in some U.S. and Australian states, an abortion can be had right up to the day of birth. Restraints on human sexuality are being thrown out and people who cling to traditional Christian values are being called 'judgemental' or 'homophobic' or 'old fashioned'.
Recently in Australia Peter Singer was made a Companion of the Order of Australia, an award supposed to be given for service to Australia or humanity. Some of the things he promotes are abortion, infanticide, bestiality, euthanasia and argues for experimentation on the mentally disabled, instead of animals. He argues that mentally disabled should be involuntarily euthanased. [incidentally he helped write the Greens manifesto]
Proverbs 22:28 says
"Do not remove the ancient boundaries
which your fathers have set"
The boundaries are there for the good of all, to stop us sliding into complete amorality and the breakdown of civilization.
 PSALM 2 [continuing] God says,
"Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.....
You are My Son, today I have begotten You,
Ask of Me, and I will give You
the nations for an inheritance
And the ends of the earth for Your possession"

The nations rightfully belong to Jesus. He ransomed them with His Blood. The Bible teaches that satan is the 'god of this world' and because of that people are in spiritual blindness. As someone has said, "All that will save us is a national spiritual awakening." The Church is called into spiritual warfare to bring the nations out of darkness into light.
Any promise made to Jesus is a promise to His Body, the Church. We can ask for the nations for the Kingdom. Jesus commissioned us to make all the nations His disciples and He doesn't tell us something that can't be done. We don't have to stand around and watch the disintregation of our world. History shows that when the people of God do battle against spiritual forces in Jesus Name, they win.
Jesus died for all people and God loves all people and doesn't want any to perish.

Isaiah 60 holds a prophecy for the people of God, yet to be fulfilled.
"Arise, shine, for your light has come,
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the LORD shall arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising....." AMEN

PROPHECY BEING FULFILLED

A Newsletter from the Australian Prayer Network reports:-

A UNIQUE GATHERING IN JERUSALEM

Muslim background followers of Jesus from various Middle Eastern countries met with their Messianic Jewish and Christian counterparts at a recent conference held in the Old City of Jerusalem at Christ Church, the oldest Protestant Church in the Middle East. Although similar conferences have been held over the years in the Middle East, this is the first time such a gathering has been held in Israel. Attendees "At the Crossroads" gathered in the context of Isaiah's vision of a highway that will run from Egypt and Israel to Assyria—a model of worship and partnership for Christians across the region that will lead to the Middle East becoming a "blessing on the earth."

This is the fulfillment of a significant prophecy from
Isaiah 19:23-25.

"In that day there will be a highway from Egypt into Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Egyptians.

In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land.

whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, 'Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.'"

What exciting days we are living in.

INASMUCH

"Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to me."
             [Painting "Forgiven" by Thomas Blackshear]

Separation of the sheep and the goats from Matthew 25.

The Sheep"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
'When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'......

The Goats "Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick and in prison, and did not minister to You?'
"Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' "

Jesus teaches that what we do or do not to others even 'the least' ultimately we do to Him. Some try to qualify it by designating the Jews or other Christians, just as the lawyer tried to qualify "Who is my neighbour" in the parable of The Good Samaritan.

However every person is someone who God loves and for whom Jesus died. He has tasted death for everyone [Hebrews 2:9] When Jesus was baptised at the River Jordan He was showing His identification with all humanity.

Understanding this gives us a whole new perspective on life and our relationships with others.

GETHSEMANE OF THE SOUL

"Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience
through the things that He suffered. Hebrews 5:8

There was a path my Saviour trod
To do the father's will
In a garden called Gethsemane
Upon a lonely hill
Bereft of human fellowship
The darkness closing in
He faced the awful anguish
Of the burden of my sin.

So I too Lord would follow on
The path on which You tred
There is a battle to be won
Before the Cross ahead
My Self impedes Your perfect plan
So I too have to die
My spirit wrestles with my will
My soul to crucify.

And yet I know as You did Lord,
The goal I would attain
Is captured only by a Cross
Of suffering and pain
Not always of the outward kind
But deep within the heart
Where only You can view the pangs
That search out every part

The spirit's truly willing
But the flesh shrinks from the grave
Shall I not drain completely
The cup my Father gave
And taste the dregs of bitterness
Not of the nail or spear
But lonliness - forsaken
By those I hold most dear.

The highest path lies hidden
From uncomprehending eyes
'Tis by the hand of Israel
That the King of Israel dies
Shall I refuse this deepest hurt
My loving Saviour knew?
Forgive them holy Father
For they know not what they do.

It matters not the means You choose
Your purpose to fulfill
I know that Resurrection culminates
Your perfect will
The dawn of Your pure holy light
Shall rise within my soul
As day o'ertakes the awful night
Christ reigns - in full control.

HOME

A poem by my daughter Sandra Henderson.

Having come so very far

From where I used to live

Seeking truths I longed to hear

That only You could give.

Seeing You more clearly now

As all around grows dim

And hearing Your voice stronger

As You gently call me in

My heart becomes a blazing star

This vessel can’t contain

Light drawn to light –all else is dust

And only You remain

It truly was my heart’s desire

To know as I am known

Do I now have all the answers...?

It doesn’t matter – I am home

RECEIVING REVELATION

RECEIVING REVELATION

“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings to search out a matter.”Proverbs 25:2
It is vital to understand that the Church moves forward by revelation. All Christians can expect to receive new light on the Word as we read the Scriptures day by day – personal guidance to help us in our daily walk, our daily manna; but there are the major doctrinal revelations that move the Church forward. E.g. Justification by faith.  All the great revivals are built around new revelation which God blesses as He draws the Church onward and upwards towards the “measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”[Ephesians 4:13]At the Last Supper Jesus told the disciples:-

“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak of His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will show you things to come
 John 16:12,13

Jesus had taught them a great deal during the three and a half years of His ministry, but there were yet many things that they would not be able to bear or to understand, without the aid of the Spirit.

As the Apostle Paul later wrote, the natural man is unable to receive or understand the things of the Spirit of God because they are spiritually discerned.[1 Corinthians 2:7-16] Just as we can’t receive satellite television without the right equipment so we can’t receive the things of God unless we are equipped with the Spirit.

The coming of the Spirit infused the infant Church with life and opened up the Old Testament Scriptures to them in a new way. They were able to see that Jesus was the fulfilment of what the Scriptures promised. The New Testament Scriptures – Gospels, Epistles and Revelation – were written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the life and teachings of Jesus were recorded and interpreted.

After the decline of the Dark Ages, God again began restoring truth to the Church and He continues to bring revelation out of His Word by the Spirit. Truth is built “precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little.” [Isaiah 28:10] But have we come into ALL truth? [The truth concerning the things of God]. No doubt after the great revivals of [e.g.] the Reformation, the Wesleyan Movement, the Pentecostal and Charismatic renewals, some people thought so; therefore new revelations weren’t always received by large sections of the Church and the people who taught them were branded as heretical and often persecuted. Of course we do have to be on the alert for heresy and “test all things” [1 Thessalonians 5:21, 1 John 4:1] but the Spirit and the Word will testify to the Truth.

The Bible is a unique book. It is a living book that continues to pour truth out of its pages. It’s something like a hologram book that I have. It has a number of pages titled [e.g.] “The Opera House” “The Sydney Harbour Bridge” “The Pyramids”and other famous places, but what meets the eye is just coloured patterns of no particular interest.  However if you study them and look at them in a different light, a picture emerges, of the Opera House or Harbour Bridge the Pyramids etc. So with the Bible! There’s the surface story which itself is amazing but as you study it, the Holy Spirit brings out the deeper picture and layers and layers of truth emerge. Marvellous! It’s what’s called “Revelation.” Just as the hologram picture of the famous place was there all along so was the deeper truth in the Bible there but we just couldn’t see it.  As Proverbs 25:2 says “It’s the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings to search out a matter.”
If you’re a Christian you’ve no doubt experienced it; but we ought not to stop searching because as the old hymn says, “The Lord has yet more light and truth to break forth from His Word.”AHB Hymn 335 by George Rawson. Have we come into ALL truth?

The apostle Paul was caught up into Paradise where he heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter” and he had “abundance of revelations.” [2 Corinthians 12
John was taken to Heaven and told to record many things, but there were some things he was forbidden to write. [Revelation 10:1-4]

Daniel was told to “shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end;” “for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” “The wise shall understand.”[Daniel 12:4,9,10]

Habakkuk was told "For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will apeak, and it will not lie.....For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."  Habakkuk 2:3,14

Clearly there is much yet to be revealed and there is a cache of revelation reserved for the end time. Some things we need to keep in mind - principles to guide us in our search for truth.

* We cannot receive truth if we reject the agents of truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. We need to be born of the Spirit and filled with the Spirit in order to receive the deep things of God. Jesus said that God’s word is Truth [John 17:17] To the extent that we receive the Bible as the Word of God, to that extent we are able to receive truth. The Spirit and the Word – these two working together- guide us into truth. There is a difference between revelation and information. Paul spoke about those who were "always learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth" [2 Timothy 3:7]. We do not learn the deep truths of God academically, though things so learned can be useful servants in studying the Word e.g. a knowledge of Greek and Hebrew or of Church History. Truth is open to any sincere seeker who has faith.  Jesus said

I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes.” Matthew 11:25

* Truth will always glorify Jesus and magnify His work of redemption on the Cross. The Holy Spirit will expand our understanding of the greatness of Jesus and the magnitude of our salvation in Him.

He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.” [John 16:13,14]

[There is an erroneous teaching that the Spirit will not speak about Himself because in the KJV it says “He will not speak of Himself”, but the sense of the text is that the Spirit will not be speaking just out of His own authority or volition. He will be speaking on behalf of the Godhead. If the Spirit is to lead us into all truth He will teach us many things about Himself.]

* Revelation works into you, that which it reveals. I used to ponder how we could become “A glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing…holy and without blemish” [Ephesians 5:27] without resorting to works – crossing t’s and dotting i’s  - perfecting ourselves. The answer is by revelation.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding, as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

[2 Corinthians 3:18]

“Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight or glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:17,18

Revelation is an unveiling of God, and it is a spiritual principle that man cannot see God and live. The old nature in us dies a little more with each revelation of God. The Church will be perfected by coming into the full revelation of the finished work of Christ – when we see by the Spirit that we have been truly “perfected forever” in Him. [Hebrews 10:14]

* If we ask, seek and knock, we will receive revelation. When Jesus spoke to the multitudes, He spoke in parables, but the real meaning of the parable was not revealed to them at that time. It was for those who “has ears to hear.” The disciples, wanting to know, drew near to Jesus and asked Him. [Matthew 7 and Mark 4] That is still the way to receive revelation. When searching the Word we can draw near to the Lord and ask “What is this about please show me Lord?” and continue to meditate on the Scripture. Keep asking, seeking and knocking, and the Spirit will be faithful to show us.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:7,8

“For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret that it should come to light.” Mark 4:22
              See also Mark 4:33,34

When we receive revelation on the Word, other Scriptures will come to mind to confirm it. Jesus said that His sheep would hear His voice.

* The greater our revelation of the Cross, the stronger the Church is. The smaller the revelation the weaker the Church is spiritually. A weak Church teaches a mixture of works and grace.  As the revelation of grace grows, so the Church grows stronger. Grace grows great Churches.

* Since God builds “precept upon precept,” receiving revelation opens the way for more. Jesus said,

“Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. For whoever has, to him will be given; but whoever has not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” Mark 4:24,25

We need to not only receive revelation but to put it into practice.

* We can receive truth only if we sincerely want to know it. If our aim is just to find Scriptures that appear to back up our pet theories, the Book will be closed. The Bible is a big book covering many subjects and random Scriptures can be strung together to fit in with pre-arrived at positions. This is using Scripture to fit in with what we already have decided to believe, not searching out truth.  This then becomes a mindset which blocks further revelation.

* If we think that we have already come into all truth, we become unteachable. “He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.”

Daniel was told that at the time of the end knowledge would increase. We see this happening in the material realm right before our eyes. In my lifetime technology has sky-rocketed. Most of us have trouble keeping up with it. In the spiritual realm also God is unveiling marvellous things which we never dreamed if we stay open to them. The finished work of Christ is coming into view. When it does all heaven will be let loose in the Earth. Let’s keep our spiritual ears and eyes open!

“Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty [inaccessable] things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
